Bullet Boy

Films such as Bullet Boy are a perfect example of the violence within the UK and how much of a problem it really is. Within the community of Barking and Dagenham there are more than one hundred gangs with hundred of gang members within them. For teenagers now days it is a struggle to survive, being in a gang is the only choice some people have, however being in a gang is now as dangerous as not being in one. The slightest look at someone as you walk past could cost you your personal belongings, your health or even your life. Crime is a huge factor now within my community, stealing from mugging people to robbing banks, violence from fights between to gang members to gangs literally murdering people for living in a different post code. Murder, violence, rape and robbery is just some of the problems the majority of people have to face due to where they live. And films such as Bulley Boy, a film produced by the BBC was an eye opener for the whole nation the film portrayed the 'real' in depth truth behind gang and knife crime, people murdered due to what they are wearing or weather or not they are faithful to their gang. Bullet Boy showed the country that life in the UK is far fromm perfect and the biggest problem was gang and knife crime on the streets of England. Our film Fragmental is also an eye opener to many, we want to create a film that will give people a chance to a better future and to stop risking their lives everyday just to feel safe within their community, that is how bad this has become, life in the UK, comes down to either being in a gang and risking your life everyday, or not and risking your life everyday as soon as you step out of your front door, at the train station, in the park and in schools, gang members and gang violence is everywhere and Fragmental want to inform many that this needs to stop.
